Default Gethsemane

... was where Jesus' father was buried.

Try looking at Mark's gospel from this perspective.

Does anyone know if any scholars have put forward this idea?

Eusebius wrote that there existed in his time (early 4th century ad) a sect that taught that Jesus was the son of Judas of Gamala (Judas of Galilee), the founder of the Zealot movement.

I haven't heard of any scholar who put forward that idea.

By the way, do you have a cite for the Eusebius statement?

What a coincidence! Judas the Galilean and Joseph both died (killed) in 23A!

That is a necessary condition for Jesus to be sinless.
