I had it then I lost it and can't tell where to find it. Can some one tell me the name of the German author who has written or is writing a multi-volume tome entitled,"The Criminal History of the Catholic Church" or something near that?

Do you mean Christianity's Criminal History by Karlheinz Deschner?

I am currently re-reading Joseph Wheeless's "Forgery in Christianity". Are you familiar with Wheeless's books, and if so, what is your opinion of them?

Wheless's Forgery in Christianity is online in the SecWeb Library and in a nicer format here.

I have to admit that I haven't read through the entire work. It is politically incorrect now to speak about Christian "forgery" if you want to carry on a dialogue with Christians. And I suspect that there are aspects of the work that are out of date. But perhaps I should read it more carefully.

Yes, it is a bit dated. There are probably later books that are more readable. Wheeless was a lawyer first and an author second. His previous book, "Is it God's word" is, I think, better. These books were hard to find for many years but are now readily available.

Sorry?

Why?

Who says? Isn't IIDB by definition politically incorrect then?

Try Martin Luther.

I spoke ironically. IIDB is probably classified as "religiously incorrect" by Bill Maher's definition. Too bad one of us couldn't have gotten on his show instead of Ann Coulter.

There is a critical examination of Wheless Here (to which I made a minor contribution)

Wheless and Roger Pearse's page were discussed here and here.
