A Religion Founded on Anagrams
We are told that a character called Jesus Christ was the incarnation of God, that he came to Earth, travelled around trying to spread good vibes, but was tortured to death on a cross. However as he was God, the creator of the universe he, of course, didn't really die. He just went back to where he came from, leaving the task of sorting the planet to his human second-in-command, Simon Peter (St Peter, the founder of the Catholic Church).
Hundreds of millions of people dote on this character, Jesus Christ. In the Bible his Greek name was IHSOUS XRISTOS (H = "e", X = "ch") ... ... which anagrams to: OSIRIS SHT XOUS XOUS means "grave" Now we come to St Peter: SIMWN PETROS in Greek This anagrams to: MORTWS PENIS which means "dead penis" ... and so on. A bit creepy, eh? ... a religion founded on anagrams :devil3: |

I like anagrams as much as the next guy http://wordsmith.org/anagram/
A religion could be founded on messages gleaned from a bowl of prayed over alphabits. It's all really whimsical, don't you think? Jesus Christ = Rich Jest Us |

A rather tenuous and ambiguous case to file isn't it?

Whether not the anagrams of Jesus and Peter's Greek names has any significance one can have a lot of fun telling Christians about MORTWS PENIS, especially Catholic priests (one of whom responded when I showed him it by bursting out laughing) |

Interesting, but not Biblical Criticism or history. A good candidate for MD.
