Good point. I think that the most troubling aspect of the bible is that apparently it is the only path to salvation, however, only a tiny fraction of the world's population has had access to it. Secondly, how about children? How do they learn about Jesus if they die in infancy? How about mentally impaired people? Are they doomed to hell because they cannot understand the Bible.

I think this means that John the Baptist was saying that Jesus would be God's salvation, and all his listeners would see him.

However, if all Christians truly believed that nobody got left behind, we unbelievers (as well as followers of other faiths) would be much less worried that there's so many of 'em! (And that bastard LeHay would be broke. )

Don't the Quakers and the UUs believe in universal salvation?
