all scripture God breathed
So is all scripture god-breathed and useful for teaching, correcting, ect., or not? Also, if this is the psalmist's opinion, how does the rest of the bible escape the same conclusion...just the author's opinion?

What about Pharaoh, you ask? Don't you wonder why he wouldn't let the Israelites go? Exodus 7:2-4 2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. And then, lo & behold...big surprise! Exodus 7:13 13 Yet Pharaoh's heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said. And apparently, just one "hardening" wasn't enough, so the LORD did it again! Exodus 9:12 12 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses. But wait, even that wasn't enough, so he did it again! Exodus 10:1-2 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these miraculous signs of mine among them 2 that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the LORD ." And again! Exodus 10:19-20 19 And the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. [1] Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. 20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go. And again! Exodus 10:27-28 27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to let them go. 28 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again! The day you see my face you will die." And again! Exodus 11:9-11 9 The LORD had said to Moses, "Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you-so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt." 10 Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go out of his country. And then - after FIVE "hardenings" of Pharaoh's heart - the LORD punished Pharaoh by killing all the first born in Egypt. And why? Exodus 13:15 15 When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD killed every firstborn in Egypt, both man and animal. This is why I sacrifice to the LORD the first male offspring of every womb and redeem each of my firstborn sons.' Well now...isn't that just special. Your god is a weak, pathetic, murdering, ego maniac Magus. What's especially funny is that you don't even understand the doctrine you preach. Thank god all Christians aren't like that. |

[B]Wrong, Jesus claimed to be God. Not quite accurate. The best one can say is that OTHERS said Jesus claimed to be God. He, himself, never wrote a word. Actually, only ONE writer claimed Jesus said that, I believe - the guy who wrote the Gospel of John. The other gospel writers don't claim Jesus said that, if I'm not mistaken. |
