Default Nazareth / Genesareth

Okay, before someone tells me that the Nazareth-related discussions have been done to death on this board, I would like to point out that I skimmed through the entire IIDB archive, and I couldn’t find any reference to the point I would like to make here.

It is often said that the word “Nazarene” could not stem from the name “Nazareth”, otherwise it would be a linguistic oddity. Though, I was told that this would not be such a rare case. and I was provided the following example:

Genesareth => Genesarene

Besides, Nazara being synonymous to Nazareth in the Gospels, the following examples are supposed to be equally relevant to the point:

Gerasa => Gerashne

Gadara => Gadarhne

(The original thread in French is here.)

So, any opinion on this possibility, i.e. nothing worth commenting upon after all?
