There seems to be nothing quoted here to show that any of these people claimed the Hebrew title of Messiah, or the Greek title of Christ, or that it was accorded to them by anyone else, tho.

This is the trouble with much of Wikipedia -- it's assertion masquerading as information. To me, such an article is deeply frustrating.
