Not just a talking donkey. A talking donkey that witnessed the revelation of God's messenger which remained hidden from a human.

Exactly. Water into wine could simply involve a few soluble crystals. Not nearly as impressive as the metal cylinder into a bowl of prime tripe & gravy trick. That’s not bias either. You can’t get more impartial than a dog.

And the baggy sleeves were always a bit suspicious if you ask me. Every time a miracle was claimed - baggy sleeves. Suspicious. And nobody in the story shouting "Hoi - he's got baggy sleeves. It's a con!" either. Even suspiciouser.

If you give it a scratching cross, it will contemplate Christ's love and ultimate sacrifice while it stretches and sharpens its claws.

Although the humor in this thread is fine, I did not start it with humor in mind. If God actually helps humans in tangible ways, does he also help animals in tangible ways? Do Christians claim that there are differences between the tangible ways that humans and animals receive help from God? It seems to me that in both cases, there is every indication that help is random.

Jesus agrees with you that there are similarities between what God does for humans and what he does for animals. It may depend on how you define "miracle". He doesn't think it is random:

Quote:
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
