Not only is there a Muslim hell, but it burns 15% hotter than Christian hell with 1/3 more tornemt. Better hope Yaweh carts you off before Allah gets you.

All things considered, have you read the Old Testament of the Bible? According to the OT God did some pretty harsh things to people...the Islamic beliefs about God are quite similar to the Jewish belief. I know some Old-Testament-focused Christian fundies who have a lot more in common with Muslim fundies then they'd ever care to admit. |

The Bible says the same thing, it's in the story of the Rich man and Lazarus, I think. Quote:
All things considered, if you actually read the Bible and the Quran, Christianity and Islam hold many of the same principles in common. One of those is belief in a God that both religions say is the One True God, and a God of love and peace and justice...but who did some pretty harsh things back in the day. It's perhaps the greatest dichotomy that a God who the Abrahamic faiths define as a God of love has done some pretty damn evil things to people...but God has a lot of very Human characteristics in my opinion, could be He even makes mistakes once in a while, just like we do. I'm a Christian, but I'm not opposed to taking a logical or realistic view of my religion...or for that matter my friend Mohammed's religion. |

Yes According to the OT God did some pretty harsh things to people Yep, he is an evil being too. ...the Islamic beliefs about God are quite similar to the Jewish belief. And? I know some Old-Testament-focused Christian fundies who have a lot more in common with Muslim fundies then they'd ever care to admit. And somehow this makes Allah good? This is a red herring logical fallacy. If you don't think Allah is evil, please state why. |
