I had the TV on this morning (not a usual thing, but I wanted to see if the T'wolves had won) and was doing a little channel surfing. One of the network morning shows (ABC, I think it was) had a discussion about this "finding". They treated the people purporting that this was Noah's Ark as though they were credentialed experts. It was awful. The host even said something about how this was "fascinating" as he cut to weather.
I saw something similar on NBC this morning. They had some "expert" who tried to explain a global flood with "somehow all of the water in the Earth's crust somehow got out of the crust and rained down causing the flood".

Nevermind other civilizations existing at the same time not noticing the global flood. What morons.

that stuff was happening long before 1917. Catherine the Great had a crucifix made from a shard of wood from the ark. My lips to God's ears!

She liked Horses too didn't she!!? Pferdeschlecher Yep, nutters have always proclaimed illogicical things. EG. The topic of this thread. I'm not alarmed at the belief; it is the uncritical manner of which-
if I proclaimed I had seen a Haggis actually reproducing in the wild, and made a big publicity splash, someone somewhere would accept the lie, because it was on the 'television' or in the 'newspapers'. Do you actually instill critical thought in American institutions? I know that there are many great thinkers and academics over there, but hell's bell's; the whole rational world is retching when they are not laughing.

I love the interpretation, but I don't know what the hell it means. You did see the eye winking at the brown blob didn't you? Could I please have an explanation of what the green line represents, before we have a miscomprehension war on our hands, after all we wouldn't like to become embroiled in the debate over 'pixie dust' now would we, that would just be playing into the hands of fairies.
Is it a giant can opener that thinks it's a unicorn by any chance!!?

Even if it is a boat, which would be wild,
Weren't you the same person who said on page one that there was "enough evidence" to conclude it's actually a boat?

What's so obviously manmade in that picture? That seems to be a rock sticking out of a glacier that's surrounded by the red circle and I can't even guess what the blue arrows are meant to be pointing to.

Could someone explain how that's supposed to be a boat of some sort?

Nope!!! But then it was Enemigo's posted picture. I suppose you will have to divine it from him. But to your question, I would conjecture that it is part of some weighty 'anal'isistic miss analysis of geomorphology. The lines are actually the exposed parts of the original construction of earth plans, uncovered by those brilliant scientists of God. It was all the atheists that covered them up with snow and rocks in the first place. We really are a bunch of dimwits, aren't we.

Yep, Enemigo is definitely a 'creationist' plant. Sorry E, you are going to have to explain this one away, even if you cribbed it from somewhere else.

Tyhis morning, I too heard about this expedition as if the discovery was already a done deal. What the hell is the matter with these people? The trek hasn't even started yet!
