The James Ossuary was proven to be a fraud. Real 1st-century ossuary, fake later inscription. Typical sensationalist journalism: Print the accusation on page one above the fold, print the retraction on page 48c.

Apparently the cave can be tied to some sort of jewish ritual. The "John the baptist" part is just wishful thinking from Gibson as the images on the walls are dated to byzantine times.

Anyway it's dodgy archaeology to <word that describes tieing a person to a place\thing> a person to a place, espessially with thin proofing like this.
