Default Jews and Jesus

Why don't the Jews believe in God and not in Jesus? Do they not believe in the NT? I don't really read the bible(i get enough BS from my president) so I don't know much about that.

Most Jews don't bother to read the NT. They are convinced that its only a Christian doctrine and has nothing to do with them or Israel ( and in reality, the NT revolves around them).

What about the ones that have read it and still reject it? What about the ones that read it, and point all the problems with it WRT to Judaism and the OT?

Right! Other than "Jews for Jesus" (who are actually Christians in the guise of Jews-by-heritage), Jews--including those who have read and studied the New Testament--tend to reject it as hogwash, at least insofar as Jesus being the hoped for Messiah is concerned. If you are interested why, read: The Jew and the Christian Missionary: A Jewish Response to Missionary Christianity by Gerald Sigal.

So what are the problems with the NT with respect to the OT and Judaism(the main points, at least)?

In reality the NT has been the source of Jew-hatred for Christians during history. Jesus saying "you are of your father, Satan" and the Jews saying "his blood be upon us and on our children" was the impetus behind pogroms for generations of Jews in Christian states.

To the point: Jews don't bother to read the NT, because the NT teaches a false god which no Jew and his father had ever known.

Don't have much time this AM before getting the kids off to school. So start with this page:

Prophecy Problems of Mathew

and I (or someone else) can respond to more later.
