Didn't the disciples and others see physical Jesus who the NT says is God? Didn't Paul see the spiritual Jesus who the NT says is God?

Others have already quoted OT verses that describe people who saw God, including Moses.

How, then, can no one have seen God, as the writer of 1 John says?

If the cost is to burn forever, I'd rather have no significance or meaning in the first place. Actually, I guess I'd have rather never existed than to face that.
