Tellers of tales
Anyone who thinks for themselves and seek facts soon learns all present beliefs came from Pagen kinds. A cleaver word smith could claim the Great Spirit or whatever spoke to them and they were told to tell this or that. Bear in mind, people were very ignorant in any way other than how to survive. Life was short the fear of death is inherent. An uscupulous person can conjure up tales of eternal life or eternal punishment for those who follow the rules outlined. It takes no great brain to understand this conduct. Shameful as it is it goes on unabaded. Many people have been brain washed into wasting much of their lives and worse yet, allow their children to be doomed to the same fate and encourage this.
