EDIT - Apologies, I should put my glasses on before posting. The negative uses are to be found in Plato, Demosthenes, and Ar(istotle?) - not the NT.

Christos is used in the Old Testament, and Chrestos was already cited to have been used by Classical authors. Check Perseus.
