Default The Bible and the leprosy

The bible is a very important precursor to the knowledge of our time. But why should it be called the Word of God?

I think that the relevance of creationism must be that the bible is the word of god. Otherwise we can’t be sure that the story of creation is true. But is it possible to prove that the bible is the word of god? I very much doubt that.

According to the story of creation 1 Mos 1:31 God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

But in 3 Mos 13:3 “And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.” Then, the leprosy has become something unclean.

The leprosy is a living organism, which according to the bible could only have been created by god. In 1 Mos it is very good, but in 3 Mos unclean. How is this possible?

Leprosy may also come upon houses as in 3 Mos 14:44 “Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean”.

The bible also recommends a method of cleaning for example 3 Mos 14:50-57 “And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water: [51] And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times: [52] And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet: [53] But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean. [54] This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall, [55] And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house, [56] And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot: [57] To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.”

My interpretation is that the author of the bible did not know that leprosy is a living organism. He was not able to discriminate between leprosy and mould. And the method of cleaning is pure superstition. Then, why should the bible be called the Word of God?

It is only called the word of god by those who wish to call it that. It also refers to the bat as a bird. The bible is so full of crazy stuff that anyone who believes it is dilusional. That's my opinion.....
