What sort of date are we looking for?
If Jesus's b-day was actually in the Bible, how would it have been translated? Are we looking for "January, February, March, April," etc, or would we look for the Hebrew months? Did they even have months in that time?

There were months in both the Roman and Hebrew calendars. Both of these calendars had been established for a long time.
Couldn't help you much more than that. Pretty much there's no reason to take any accounts of JCs birth and infancy with more than a grain of salt, if that. Certainly the apostles were not there. I have no idea who recorded the events with the shepards in the fields. But its a nice story. Worked for plenty of other god-men. |

Genesis,
You won't find the exact date. You can narrow it down to a pretty specific time. The key is in finding the order of Priests from the OT who were serving when He was born. If I recall, the order of Priests put His birth in early, early spring. |

Hebrew months at the time in question (see also here. There would have been no problem recording a date.
