If you're looking for definite proof, you're in the wrong forum.

This might be interesting. But it's not clear what the author's expertise is, or why the early sites bear any relevance to the question of Nazareth. If someone wants to pay $7.50 to find out, let us know.

Which begs the question, why would early Christians "invent" a town when there were any number of respectable towns that existed in the area

The answer will probably be that the evangelists invented Nazareth based on the fact that Jesus was already called a Nazarene (for different reasons).
