what proof do you have that these people have "an axe to grind" or "agendas to promote"...do you take this stance just because they assert a different viewpoint than you ?

what makes you call them "so called" scholars...

again is this another way of denigrating people that you don't agree with ?

Wink

The Jesus Seminar "so called scholars" did come up with some silly ideas based on their slanted views.

They came to the conclusion that there probably was a man named Jesus who said a small percentage of the things attributed to him in the gospels.

Fat chance, that.

Default Well, let's start with . . .

Burton Mack. Then we can work our way through those "laughable scholarly" types you dismiss from the Jesus Project.

Perhaps we could exchange bibliographies.

If one had nothing else to go on but the record of the instruction set provided by that scruffy iconoclast of a wandering rabbi, would that be enough to establish a moral workable society in the Heaven that is spread out before you?

In truth, that may be all that is available that has not been edited totally away to fit the clandestine henotheism that became Roman Christianity and the superstitious construct for which you are so enthusiastic.

It really makes no difference who wrote what when after the cross dropped in the hole in the rock that had received it so many times before and after. If one is unable to commit to the Victims instruction set of the three previous years, why bother with the rest.

The construct that was the work of Constantine, Mother Helena and subject axe grinders is the camel that you choose to swallow rather than the bit of Bread offered by the Teacher.

Please, do read my profile!

You are blessed in your way.

Your reference for 362 is incorrect. Julian does not
"declare Christianity a religion of wicked fiction", but
sets out ...:
"The reasons by which he was convinced
that the fabrication of the Galilaeans
is a fiction of men composed by wickedness."

Default Very good, Sir.

I am new to this board but I have a deep background in the history and context of the cheeky theist dominionist and their superstitious ways.

I have placed some bait in this thread but as yet the principal <=>< has yet to tug the line.

Do check my profile.
