I think Jesus was an explorer of deep space who traveled back in time and healed people with his technological medicine of the Second Earth Enlightenment. Prove me wrong.

If this is true, which in all fairness is as likely as anything else to be true, did Jesus cease to exist after he was supposedly crucified? Was he reborn like he promised he would be, at the same time he was originally born in the future of the past he had traveled to? Was he aware of what had happened in the interim of his death and rebirth? Personally I don't believe in time travel in any direction, past or future. This is because I think there is only one moment in which we assume we exist. Everything else is resonance that builds up in the collection of mass amounts of information which we access through the means of "time." I always considered Merlin a time traveler but I think that idea was seeded when I read Timeline. I'm so glad I rarely read books anymore because those poisons take years to suck out of my bloodstream once they have been injected. Anyway... you mentioned deep space travel so I assume the Jesus we're talking about was from our future. Was he aware of the chaos that had ensued after his legend had been defaced and used for whatever means it was used for? Do you think that he would have done things differently if he had that knowledge initially, before he slipped into the past and screwed the future up so badly? Or maybe everything that transpired as a result of his actions in the past cancelled out his future self, which still existed despite the fact that he never existed to travel back in time, so he was unaware of the dangers he posed to events that would happen in the future, which was actually the past. Are those Time Rider or Terminator rules? :constern01:

Actually, there is scriptural evidence. The holy anointing oil (Christos means the anointed one) recipe is in the Bible and an Israeli historian claims one of the ingredients translated as "fragrent cane" actually refers to cannabis. I'd find some sources for you but it's late and I'm kinda drunk from all of the Christmas festivities.

Here's the thread from the archives on kanem bosem:
Was Jesus a Stoner? Unfortunately, some of the graphics are no longer there, but the information is still good AFAIK. |

...sounds about as well thought through as several other 'theories' historical Jesus scholars push. Is this really any less absurd than swoon 'theory'?
