As for homosexuality, that was against tribal customs because tribal societies needed more members in their tribes to gain power and to maitain their survival. It has nothing to do with prevention of diseases like the ones no one knew about at the time. Today the world is over populated so homosexuality is of no concern. AIDS virus is a recent discovery and certainly not mentioned in the quran or any hadith book. Moreover, people have been suffering from various kinds of infections without being aware of what was really wrong with them. If prevention was that important for people them why muhammad did not do anything to prevent his own episodes of illnesses or of his loved ones? Read hadith books as to what muhamamd has been doing himself for curing himself and what he has been prescribing for others.

It is a slander used by people who are full of hatred to justify their own prejudices against gays. Most people who have AIDS in the world today acquired it by heterosexual behavior. No person ever acquired AIDS through homosexual conduct except a person who ENGAGED IN HOMOSEXUAL CONDUCT. You cannot get AIDS from gay sex unless you have gay sex. This is mere tautology, but you are overlooking it.

It would make more sense to blame AIDS on people who eat meat, since AIDS probably first entered human society when a human being ate an infected chimpanzee near the city of Kisangani, Dem. Rep. of the Congo, in the 1950s.
