Maybe because Thomas was open to believing, and you wouldn't be. As I said before, people saw Jesus raise the dead and still thought He was a fraud. I doubt you would be any different, in which case, why would God bother?

And of course, it was also pointed out that Thomas wasn't blessed since He did see Jesus. Faith is important because it means you trust God, without knowing for sure.

Asking in Jesus' name means under His authority. Read the verse on those who just pay lip service to Jesus will be told "depart, I don't know you" by Jesus. Tacking His name onto a sinful prayer has no meaning whatsoever, which is one reason it won't be answered. The second reason being, you have to believe fully that God can and will provide it. No atheist on Earth meets either of those criteria, and its a struggle for most Christians - hence why you will never get any results.

And another point. No where does Jesus say you will receive it immediately. God answers prayers on His time not ours. A year from now, something someone asked for may very well happen which makes Jesus' statement truth. He isn't required to respond when you demand.


2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Add yet ANOTHER question to the list Magus refuses to answer:

1. Why do you use the protestant Bible (hint: it's used significantly less than the Catholic Bible)?
2. Do you believe that the moon causes the seasons and that earthquakes are caused by God looking at the earth, both of which occur in Psalm 104, the Psalm you interperet literally to justify your global flood theories?
And now:
3. Does Jesus say "ask and ye shall receive" or does Jesus say "Do it yourself, I can't be bothered to solve your problems"?

So no Christian in the world has ever ever asked for Jesus to end world hunger?

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot. You're the only living True Christian, and you most certainly have never asked for children to be fed.

Discussion of questions that Magus may or may not refuse to answer are off topic for this thread. You have no way of knowing what Magus may or may not pray for, so speculation on this is, imo, inappropriate.

Strawmen and incivility do not help your case.

Like I said he will never answer jesus as a liar publicly as I understand.

He does know that jesus is a liar because he gave me the conclusion that jesus said do it yourself.

This is my personal conclusion to what I understand that magus is getting at.
