Evidence, please?

.
This is a pretty good timeline of the searching for the Ark in Turkey.

Although I would be surprised if there is not a flourishing market of "authentic Noah's Ark remains" for dumb born-again tourists around the place already...
On one show I saw about archaeologists and some kind of sonic imaging group trying to study this anomaly there was only one funnymentalist in the group and he was kind of scoffed at by the others.

Personally, I would think there is a much better chance of finding remains of the Ark of the Covenant than Noah's Ark.

A more informative article
Quote:
A Roman Catholic entrepreneur from Honolulu is funding a $900,000 expedition to find Noah's Ark this summer. . .

"The discovery of Noah's Ark [would be] the single greatest event since the resurrection of Jesus Christ," Mr. McGivern said, "and it — I know — will change the way science currently thinks about the Earth," in reference to the Bible's account of a global flood.
. . .

According to biblical records, Noah's Ark would measure about 75 feet wide, 450 feet long and 45 feet high. Mr. McGivern estimates the boat had three decks, "and we expect that we'll find compartments and cages."

The object on the satellite image is at least 50 feet by 70 feet, he said. There is some speculation that the object, if it is the biblical ark, has broken into three pieces.

. . .

Mr. McGivern, who headed the Hawaii Christian Coalition in 1998, owns a Honolulu-based marketing firm and said he has incorporated Shamrock — the Trinity Corp. in Delaware to fund projects such as this.

He he!! Had to ask. Well, I will not beat around the Bush, you poor so and so. The Catholic system must be like boot camp. So I guess the parade ground analogy was close. However, I don't mind rational Catholics who don't have bad habits (Nudge nudge, wink wink, Saaaaaaaay no more Squire!!!) Pythonesque Poor so and so.
Anyway killing two birds with one stone-I put this earlier, but due to threads merging, which has made this more fun, I'll paste-

'It's a volcano which blew out sideways maybe and the shadowing just gives it a hull form in appearance. I mean this is as many guesses as you want time now. How anyone can believe is extremely worrying. Vulcanicity has been suggested above. It needn't have been on the same scale as Krakatoa. The extreme erosion which can be seen actually points to a very old age indeed. Anyone care to comment? Perhaps this has been mentioned, anybody know?

I'm sure that whatever they find will affirm their faith.

More on Shamrock - the Trinity Corporation

Quote:
Winners

. . .

Hawaii company Shamrock -- The Trinity Corp., which is taking large hotels into the ozone layer. The company sells very expensive -- try six figures -- systems to add ozone to water used for cleaning, replacing the need to heat the water. Large hotels, which clean mountains of towels, can then save a lot -- try six figures -- on electricity bills.
Luckily there's better science behind this than the Ark quest.

What the hell!?!? It's exactly the same face as all those Mars photos. Is this just some elaborate practical joke?

Ooops. Just noticed that the original picture didn't have the Mars face. Guess I'm a little slow today. Good gag.
