Riding a hobbyhorse split from earliest copy of Matt in old Syriac
Quote:
The answer to your question depends entirely on whether you are prepared to accept the chronological dating certifications of handwriting analysts (otherwise known as Olde Worlde Palaeographers) as primary evidence in establishing the chronology of the document containing the text of Matthew. On the one hand the oldest bound manuscripts date to the fourth century. On the other hand, handwriting experts have manage to convince themselves that some of the papyri fragments may be earlier than the fourth century. On the third hand, that of radio-carbon dating. the evidence is clustered around the fourth century (average of 290 gJudas and 348 Nag Hammadi gThomas). Best wishes, Pete |

(I have said it before, and I repeat it here.)
The average hobby horse rider probably thinks of himself as the cavalry. That works well, I think. Ben. |

Dear People without a Hobby Horse of their Own,
Please refrain from stowing thrones Is not the HJ a hobby horse? Is not the MJ a hobby horse? The FJ is a special Australian symbol. Quote:
Is this a fact or not? (Did I mention <<<NAME DELETED>> ?) Quote:
