Default Bible contradiction I hadn't heard before...

Genesis 22:14
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Exodus 6:3
And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

 I don't see any way around that...

No responces? So when do I declare victory?

What do you want? The Bible is full of them.

This one is good though. Here, have a cookie.

Oh, of course...

When Abraham called the place "Jehovahjireh," that was just a coinky-dink, right?

Name doesn't mean name, it means personality.

If you want to be ultra-precise :-

'So, the name was known BEFORE exodus 3&6, but in the Exodus event God pours 'intense, new content' into the phrase.' from http://www.christian-thinktank.com/qyhwh.html

What contradiction? The name was known before Exodus 6:3 but it was not known before Exodus 6:3, not *really* known.
