John 3:16
As the sun sets over the new multi-million dollar church complex down the street, complete with child indoctrination center. I can’t help but think what a scam religion is, Christianity in particular.
Take John 3:16 for example. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. I didn’t even have to look it up. I remembered it from my own indoctrination as a child. But really what’s it all about? It’s about the divinity of Jesus Christ, Son of Mary. Did Mary write to tell us about her miraculous visitation? No. Did Joseph write to tell about his visitation from the Angel? No. Did someone that knew Mary and Joseph write to tell us about their visitations? No. Did John, a disciple of Christ, write the book of John? No. Does anyone know who wrote the book of John? No. So why do I have trouble accepting Christ’s divinity Someone we don’t know, wrote something kind of poetic about an event he didn’t see, based on a story that he’d heard about a girl that may have claimed to have had a virgin birth. Oh wait, it’s all so clear now. Let me get my wallet… |
