Default Translation help needed.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The word god is used twice in this passage. In the manuscripts (not sure if it is Greek or Aramaic) is the word the same or is a different word used?

You can see it here or here - the word is the same: theos (or the genitive theou).

But it is not clear that the "god of this world" is the same as god. There is a paper here which discusses whether the "god of this world" is Satan or YHWH. If Paul was the gnostic that people suspect, the god of this world is the demiurge, and not the true god.

Sounds like non-Calvinists are polytheists?

It uses the same word theos so either it is Yahweh or Satan if it is Satan then Satan is considered a god by the bible?

Also if that article is true then the bible is blasphemous, it uses lower case god instead of God and all the translations I have looked at use that distinction.

Even in the hebrew bible there is room for many "gods."

Psalm 82
1 God presides in the great assembly;
he gives judgment among the "gods."
So maybe "god" is a more flexible term than we might at times suspect.
