Default Universalists

Those who believe that we all will be saved in the end, I would like to ask you a question.

Most universalists believe that the everlasting punishment described in Matthew was mistranslated and does not last forever. Now, how do you reconcile that in the same verse Jesus refers to everlasting life. Would you say Jesus lied and our life in Him is not eternal either! How do you reconcile by saying everlasting punishment is not lasting forever but everlasting life is forever?

Probably the same way that people like you ignore that Jesus said he would return before that generation had passed away.... "Salad Bar Christianity".

Perhaps you should ask this question at a theist oriented board?

The references are to quality not necessarily quantity

I am unaware of any evidence for any kind of "everlasting life" or "everlasting punishment" for humans. Humans seem to be mortal, just like any other species. You are aware of evidence to the contrary? (and any expression of a wish-fulfillment desire doesn't count as evidence)
