Default volunteers for an "Introducing the Bible series"

Hi all,

I started this thread at Misc. Discussions to see the interest in the idea and it seems fairly positive. I, of course, have absolutely no authority, but thought it would be a good idea to try to introduce some of the major themes to the readership here so they can better understand what the regulars are discussing. I'm interested in the NT folk who seem to be in the majority here, and some proposed topics are:

(1) Intro to the NT
(2) The Dead Sea Scrolls
(3) Early Christian movements and external influences

Any volunteers are welcome, I ask only that you present any side of the debate fairly, and any of your own conclusions as tentative. I especially welcome theist input to balance out. If not, all anyone is going to get is an intro to the Hebrew Bible and Biblical Archaeology (helpers are welcome here too *cough*Apikorus*cough*DrJim*cough*).
