Default Fulfilling Prophecy

Quote:
Isaiah 60:3© And nations shall come to your (israel) light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4(D) Lift up your eyes all around, and see;
they all gather together, they come to you;
(E) your sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.

8Who are these that fly like a cloud,
and(P) like doves to their windows?
9For(Q) the coastlands shall hope for me,
® the ships of Tarshish first,
(S) to bring your children from afar,
their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the LORD your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel,
because(T) he has made you beautiful.
the ships of Tarshish first,
(S) to bring your children from afar,

Isaiah saw in his vision an object that he never had seen before .This is a ship that would carry Israelites back to their homeland after the great dispersion.2ooo years ago when people of Israel was taken out from their homeland and spread them troughout the world. In about century ago Israelites begun going back to their homeland, they are carried by ships and flying object (airplanes)that prophet isaiah saw before.

8Who are these that fly like a cloud,
the ships of Tarshish first,
(S) to bring your children from afar,

New Jewish immigrants making Aliyah (Immigration to Israel) from France walk down the airplane upon their arrival at the Ben Gurion International airport in Lod, about 15 kms east of Tel Aviv, 25 July 2007. At least 600 new French Jewish immigrants were expected to arrive to Israel assisted by the Jewish Agency for Israel, a record number of olim (immigrants) from France this year since 1972

You really misinterpret it.

Matthew 13
10The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"
Lord:
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'

What a garbled version of Matthew 13

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

[KJV]

Jesus said that
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

Funny, i thought i read what was actually there.
You're the one trying to interpret the verse, can you show why the bit about flying like doves is not to be taken literally?

Well, I just took a glance at our Warning Against New Prophecy Threads and I don't actually see a previous thread listed on whether airplanes were prophesied by Isaiah.

As you harden your heart to hear this prophecy another prophecy became true.
Lord said that
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

So, that's a no on the 'like doves' bit?

And IIRC, it was the Lord that did the heart-hardening on the Pharoh. Maybe god just wants me to reject your interpretation of the verse?
