What the heck just happened here? Let's replay the tape (of this thread): You stated a definitive proposition (Moses and Noah existed). You were asked for justification (It's in the Bible) You were shown that the justification was unfounded. You admitted that your were ignorant of the sufficiency of your justification (~'I don't know about how reliable the Bible is'). You attempted to save face by back tracking. (~'I'm not here to defend the Bible, I don't want to argue this) Many said "ok, we understand" Then you post another assinine assertion (~ 'The native americans and the colonists were happy neighbors until the English messed things up'). Whaaaaa? Didn't you learn anything from the life of this thread? As to the title of this thread = Texas is still in a strong lead. |

TA, the problem you are having with the information you are receiving regarding the real world around you is your understanding of the difference between popular dogma and science.

Just because a million people say something is so, does not make it so. Science isn't a popularity contest. Science has rules that are self-regulating - that is, one scientist can lie or fudge data, but they will be debunked by other scientists. There is one, single source for all this biblical nonsence - "the" bible. That's it. It all stems from a single book written by man a couple thousand years ago. it has been updated only by men with agendas. There is an infinate source of data for realism. There is no fudging it. you could have seen your daughter pulling tubes at that party if you were there. you could question eye-witnesses, drug test her, smell her hair.... a thousand 'tests' to check, cross refrence, and prove what happened. There is no test for "god did it", and "god said so". This isn't a crack at "faith". But claims that it was 'proven' that Noah built an arc and therefore god must have created edan - just shows a lack of any understanding of sound logic, reason, and the scientific method. |

OH! I'm sorry! I thought we were talking about settlers who were killing indians. You want to talk about Indians who didn't come into light until the late 18th century. How stupid of me. Yes! We actually killed Indians during the Mexican War as well. Geez.... Read a book. |
