Was Ezekiel treated reasonably well as a captive/exiled Hebrew in Babylon?

atheist scholars? you are the "experts" on all things skeptical right? yes or no? pretend that the answer favored the atheist positon! (quite frankly the issue is neutral, it has nothing to do with whether the tyre prophecy is a useful apologetic, a false prophecy, or too semantically muddled to be useful either way)..... but this will tell me whether one can have an honest intellectual debate on IIBB or whether it is a complete waste of time. (p.s. you athiests have a vested interest in tough debates with people other than your own choir- Napoleon, Hitler, Egypt in 48,67,73 etc had too many yes men on their general staffs and they got slaughtered even though they thought they were going to win-hint; wargame with professionals, not your homegrown flunkies!

Why are you opening a new thread for each question or point in the debate?

because Sauron, I need to expose YOUR stalling, anal, lack of sophisticated ANE academic background, war by 'inane attrition' demands for proof of simple, reasonable historical hypothoses...to the light of day..even if it is the atheist/skeptical light of day!...so c'mon big boy answer the question: "was ezekiel treated reasonably well as a captive/exile in Babylon?".......Yes or NO?

1. You are the one that has taken three days to post your sources; if anyone is stalling around here, it is you - not me.

2. And if you had bothered to read the Tyre thread from the very start, you would have disavowed yourself of your puerile complaint that I have no ANE background. The thread is thick with sources and references that I provided, while whacking lee_merrill around like a doggie chew toy.

3. I must say, for someone who trumpets their own education and denigrates mine, you are taking a smashingly long time to focus on the key question: whether or not Ezekiel was singled out for special access to the Babylonian court.

Mata, same thing as your other request for help. What is stopping you from doing the required digging and reading? If I were you I would not be making an exhibition of my weakness in this debate, rather I would be out doing the necessary research in order to answer Sauron. It's not a question of whether this is an atheists' board or whether atheists do things a certain way. It is a question of doing what is required to participate in a debate. If you have a source related to the quality of Ezekiel's treatment by the Babylonians then please let us see it.

It's Saturday evening. Most people, yes even atheists, have better things to do with their time than hang out at their local discussion board. I would recommend that you allow some time for your questions to be answered. Immediate gratification on message boards isn't always attainable.
