Default rebuttals to Farewell to God

I was wondering if anyone knows of a rebuttal written of "Farewell to God" by Charles Templeton.

The other night I was discussing with an ex-cult member how we just accepted everything in the Bible previously and hadn't even noticed that the resurrection accounts are different in each Gospel for example, and what we would have done had we seen that. He reckoned we would have made up some rubbish to get around it so I was wondering if anyone actually has done that. The reason I ask is if I give the book to my husband to read he will want to know what Christians have to say about the matter and for now I haven't had much luck googling. Thanks!

Its always a mistake to let anyone spoonfeed you their interpretation of anything, especially when its in book form and accessible to all.

Having done so with the bible,
are you doing the same with 'farewell to God.' ?

The unchangeable comes in many forms.

You can read the reviews on Amazon.

The late Charles Templeton was an early associate of Billy Graham. His study of the Bible led him to agnosticism. His son maintains a web page for his life and work here, including his attempt to harmonize the gospels in Jesus - a Bible in Modern English

No, Jonesg, I haven't been spoonfed. I don't agree with all of Templeton's arguments, some are far too simplistic. I do however agree with saying "farewell" to god, but that has to do with a lot more than just a book.

Toto, thanks for the link, looks interesting.
