Isn't that what you read here on a daily basis ? Like trying to legally define prono, yet the supreme court knows it when they see it. Like trying to describe the taste of an orange without reference to any other taste (imagine its the only thing you have ever tasted). Its like, I KNOW Truth, I have experienced it. I can't define it, its beyond. It is obviously of great use to me because it proves something rather profound. Now imagine you had a spontaineous experience of God, you go to a shrink, if in all other regards to your life things are fine.... do you think he would say you are mad .? |

All you're really sayingis that you've experienced something, some intense feeling, and you are assiging a "Truth" to it. Quote:
Read up on temporal lobe epilepsy. Note: I'm not saying that you or anyone else has a brain disorder that is causing these experiences (though temporal lobe epilepsy does sometimes cause quite intense, profound "divine" experiences in those afflicted; certain drugs can do the same). But neuroscience has come to understand that the brain can and does cause experiences that we interpret as "divine". |
