No I haven't even heard of it. But I have read the bible and I have been thorougly shocked! They call it the "Word of God," but maybe it best be called the "Word of Satan." So much murder, betrayal, incest, idolatry, infidelity, war, human sacrifice...and I'm talking about god's "chosen people," the Jews! Ya gotta wonder if Yahweh made any improvement in the Hebrew lifestyle considering they were no more virtuous than the pagans they displaced. Maybe the bible should come with a PG Warning on the cover. We don't want young people to be unduly influenced by the holy "Word of God."

It has a website

Not exactly a good start, nor is the endorsement by noted Bible critic, Bill O'Reilly ?!?

The reviews on Amazon are instructive. This is a Bible trivia book, aimed at the average church goer who has never read the Bible and would be shocked to know what it actually says.

Me too! It's a book you just really aren't prepared for. Growing up as a Christian, you hear the sanitized storytelling highlights of the Bible. Reading the book and seeing the actual context as well as the less mentioned stories is pretty unsettling if you are not ready for it.

I think reading the bible is the biggest source of atheism.

I'm shocked that someone would write a book like that.

Why? Please expand on this for me. Dozens of books and websites pointing out passages of high contemporary shock-value exist. What's wrong with that?

Because I know what the Bible is a Holy Book. I'm sure that person is shocked about human history, it's brutal and still is. I hope they write a book about the shocking aspect of an eternity in hell.

That is a claim made by humans about a book written by humans. The book is not 'holy" in any way (Not that I have any idea what differentiates a holy book from an un-holy book but...)

Why would an all powerful god who, according to your "holy" book", created the universe and everything within it, have a problem locating a new born baby? Even more so, why kill all babies? Did your god lose his powers after creating the universe?

Do you really think an all-loving god would torture someone for 39858364756023875602387562387562307845602387456238 07560237856802374562380475680234756023784 years for not believing in a crappy written book? And that is justice in your eyes?

I was shocked by a light switch once.
