Default satellite images of a giant wooden boat split from Noah's Ark Questions thread

I was going to make my own noahs ark thread but Ill just add to yours.

There is satellite images of a giant wooden boat three times the size of the titanic, located on a mountain in turkey. http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/0...ark/index.html People are beginning to suspect that this is noahs ark.If this really is noahs ark how does this effect your opinion on the bible and or other religions that contain the flood?

Please tell me how this in any way resembles a wooden ship?

If you ask me its more wishful thinking than anything...

I read that article yesterday, and as I recall, the dimensions given for the "object" was 1,015 feet long. The Titanic was 882 feet long, so this is slightly longer than the Big T, but nowhere near "three times" as long.

Just thought I'd point that out. The Titanic is a bit of a hobby for me.

I see no way primative(neo primative?)man could have built any ship so big, especially just one man.
NO ONE could have built such a thing out of wood. No matter how many people built it, the thing would splinter itself as soon as it hit the water.

Uhhhh, just looks like a rock formation to me. The fact that there is ONE "researcher" who THINKS it MAY be something else doesn't mean anything. To be honest, the Mars Face was more convincing then this and that just turned out to be a play of shadows.

The ancients built many big vessels that were close to the Ark in size and even used some in battle.

If Christians are so convinced that's Noah's ark, why doesn't anyone go and check it out???

Thank you. That's what I was thinking exactly. What's the problem here Christians?? GO FIND IT! I mean, hell, you've got your GPS coordinates, there it is right on the surface, what's the friggin' hold up?

I'll be waiting here, popcorn in hand.

P.S. there was no universal flood.

ETA: the article even says "It would be easy to call it merely a strange rock formation". Apparently, CNN is light on news today.

Not at all convincing. From all indications the vessels of that size were generally composed of two smaller vessels attached together catamaran-style. The overall dimesions may have been impressive, but the internal volume was nowhere near what a monohull would be. The largest, the Tessaconteres, far from ever being used in battle was so unstable it was placed in a special dock after a brief trial voyage and never moved again.

Hi Folks,

This article shows the site you are looking at compared to the real site.

New photo resparks 'Noah's Ark mania'
Digital image of 'Ararat Anomaly' has researchers taking closer look

The painting is nice, too.
