But faith must end when knowledge frees. Peter was faith and it is about here that Jesus was beyond faith in understanding and so Judas could be hanged because he had completed his mission. He might as well spill his guts because Jesus knew and understood the purpose of Judaism and therefore was beyond faith . . . and beyond doubt after he showed Thomas his wounds. Thomas here was the twin of faith in doubt, and so without faith, there can be no doubt and without doubt Peter was completely defrocked.

Faith remains because truth is (light is life) and so Peter may have been defrocked but Peter will always be. Doubt comes into existence after faith leads the way to light as sure as darkeness follows the day.

It is the mythical perspective wherein Thomas and Peter were twins in faith and doubt. Faith is abadonned in understanding which is why Peter denied knowing Jesus and when all doubt was removed Peter was defrocked to say that there is no Judiasm left in him. This is clear from the next fishing trip where there were no fish to be caught in the waters that Peter knew so well.
