Bathsheba, Mother of Soloman
Bathsheba was the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah, the Hittite. King David set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle and ordered his commander to retire from him that he may be smitten and die, and he did.
Once Bathsheba's husband was thus dispatched, King David married Bathsheba, his widow. The prophet Nathan took King David to task for his duplicity and set him up to pass a death sentence on himself by putting before him a request to judge the rich man who took the poor man's only lamb, a parable for what David had done. My intriguing question is why did God not annoint Absalum, a son of David, the one to rule following David's death ,but instead chose Bathsheba's son, Soloman, and gave this child born of murder the kingdom ? I know that Absalam was already dead before David's death. Is it not odd ? |

It seems that even with the first generation, the hebrew charlatans were trying very hard to force a Davidic lineage....

I have often thought that Bathsheba was the "Queen of Sheba" and that David is not Solomon's biological father ... can't help it .... reading Sameul I get the impression that David was a eunuch ... after all, he tended his father's sheep.

Scripture says that a child will not be punished for the sins of his father. Solomon was not to blame for the circumstances of his conception and birth.
Peace be with you! Sandy |
