In fact, Christians are not even mentioned in the new testament.

Of course, if Jesus is God then he is responsible for the dead of the flood, the babies of Sodom, the firsborns of Egypt, the Amorite, Canaanites etc the boys who had ridiculed Elisha etc.

To say nothing of the religious wars of the 16th Century where Christians happily killed each other by the millions in Christ's name.

Just to be clear.

No where in the Bible are Christians ordered to kill.

Just the opposite in fact Christians are commanded by Jesus to love.

So who was Jesus talking to when he gave the order to execute those who would not accept his authority?

Himself

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Oh well.

Maybe all the Christians that are running around killing people do this for practice come the judgment day?

It might not be fun, as you put it, but someones going to have to do it.
I wonder if they'll draw straws to see who has to do the bloody deed?
And then there is the clean-up afterwards, awful bloody mess.

Maybe Jesus plans on all the non-believers to kill themselves by drinking cynide laced wine and then bulldozing us into a huge pit full of brimestone and fire.

Even though he fed thousands with two lil'fishys and five loaves of bread, he still needed help passing them out.
You might just be selected to be one of the people who gets to pass out the poision...

But someone can see to it that another person is killed and still love that person very much.

Didn't god see to it that his beloved son was killed?

Abraham loved his son, but was quite ready to kill him.

To be even clearer.

I'm pretty sure he said to love your enemies to a certain disciple of his, and it's pretty clear he was just fucking with the disciple...

Althogh it is not clearly illustrated in any Bibles, Jesus was some what of a cynic and loved pushing peoples buttons and fucking with their minds.
He was infamous for saying one thing, but doing just the opposite, kind of like don't let the right hand know what the left hand is doing.
He was only human, after all...

I always wondered why a lot of paintings depict Jesus with a string around his finger...

He was reminding Himself!

and here I thought someone was calling him a puppet!
