A friend of mine told me that there is historical evidence to support the Bible. When she told me this, she didn't actually have a firm grasp of this evidence, but when she went looking for it, she happened upon Ron Wyatt. I know and you know that Ron Wyatt is a fraud, and there are a lot of sites that talk about the fact that he is a fraud. Even Answers in Genesis has a page that discredits him. However, are there any sites that have a serious intellectual debunking of all of his claims? I haven't found much on this, and based on what I know about Wyatt, I have come to the conclusion that this is because he never produced anything to debunk.

Anybody have more substanced critiques of the guy than AiG?

I suspect that most serious intellectuals tend to feel that if an apologist is not taken seriously even by other apologists, then a detailed critique would be a waste of time.

I would challenge anyone who claims that Wyatt ought to be given serious attention to explain exactly why. When someone says "This guy knows what he's talking about," it's up to them to prove it.
