Christianity doesn't like Intellectuals?
Can anyone name any verses in the Bible that condemn "intellectuals"?

I don't think that you will find any mention of intellectuals in the Bible.
Some claim to find a strain of anti-rationalism in the Bible including passages condemning the "wisdom of this world" such as Quote:

I don't have any biblical verses but you could certainly make an argument that Christian leaders have a problem with reason and logic:
"Reason is the Devil's greatest whore; by nature and manner of being she is a noxious whore; she is a prostitute, the Devil's appointed whore; whore eaten by scab and leprosy who ought to be trodden under foot and destroyed, she and her wisdom ... Throw dung in her face to make her ugly. She is and she ought to be drowned in baptism... She would deserve, the wretch, to be banished to the filthiest place in the house, to the closets." — Martin Luther, Erlangen Edition v. 16, pp. 142-148 |

Psalm 14 (& 53)
1Â*Â*Â*The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. This (unsurprisingly) makes no reference to intellectuals (the word does not occur in the NIV, at least), but it does provide an immediate doctrinal defense against any fancy-pants intellectual argument that seems to justify believing that there is no god: the arguer is automatically a fool. |

What about Genesis and the tree of knowledge of the difference between good and evil? One could argue that since god said it was forbidden, we shouldn't be trying to aquire knowledge.

The Bible says Moses was trained in all the wisdom and knowledge of the most advanced nation in the world at the time. Isaiah, was the most learned scholar of his day. Scholars deduce this from his writing style. IOW, anyone can tell an educated person from the way they write. Paul the Apostle grew up at the feet of the brightest scholar of his day - the school of Gemaliel. Moses produced the Torah. Isaiah the book of Isaiah. Paul : two thirds of the N.T. WT |

Its a type of O.T. law. Knowledge of it CANNOT make a person keep it. It can only condemn. This is why God manifested that Law in the form of His Son and crucified it. Now the mode of relationship is trust/gospel/faith. |

Thank you WillowTree for pointing out yet another inconsistency of the Holy Bible, otherwise known as the Book of Holes.
