Default SEVEN separate threads concerning Bart Ehrman?!

Is this becoming a Bart Ehrman message board? It looks that way with SEVEN separate threads at least related to him. Can't they be consolidated into one or two?

And here's the eighth. Haven't you noticed the number of people participating in this forum is also up? Controversy is good for business. The Bart Ehrman dictum.

In my opinion, for what little it is worth, your comment could be interpreted as related to the administration of the forum.

Again, only my opinion, the fault of these many threads is not due to administrative oversight.

Those of us who start threads, or contribute to threads, knowing that there is another place for our comments, are the ones to blame.

The release of Bart Ehrman's book is a big event for this forum, not to be concentrated into one or two threads. Those threads would be inordinately massive. Mythicism is the single biggest issue of this forum, Bart Ehrman is the biggest name in the field, formerly the most respected scholar by the members here, and he wrote the first book of its kind, an angry rebuke of mythicism. Bart Ehrman was the well-qualified scholar in this forum most talked about for many years before now. And now Bart Ehrman himself even joined this forum and left a brief note to dispute claims about his book.

To Duvduv's point, though, how to locate Dr. Ehrman's note?

I haven't encountered it. That we must request a link from AAbe illustrates the problem....

It would be much harder with only one thread containing a thousand posts. Here:

I understand people's feelings about this but am concerned the forum shouldn't turn into a Bart Ehrman forum. Of course he's not Moses. He is entitled to his views like anyone else even if he's viewed as an apologist for the bottom line Christian narrative and its ancient advocates.

Yeah, but I think it will be a "Bart Ehrman forum" for a relatively short time.
