How many articles have you published in peer-reviewed mainstream journals?
Even Doherty disagrees with you.
The Bible is a historical source
The story of Jesus contains a historical Kernel

I personally haven't found this beaten to death here. I guess you have someone in mind, though I can't think of who. Can I leave it as pending... upon further discussion?

These to me are more argument ploys -- limp ploys, implying you don't know what you're talking about -- than hobby horses.

The last makes me think of things like Will Durant and Michael Grant who are atheists believe in the historical Jesus.

It might be a good idea to make a list of these ploys as well.
