Someone sent me a link to Tony Busby's Book - The Bible Fraud - anyone familiar with the books contents and the author?

There seems to be links to David Icke's site means this author endorses the work of a howling crackpot.

Anyone already familiar with his works?

nexusmagazine prints a lot of UFO, conspiracy theories, and alternative health articles, but don't let that prejudice you.

I glanced through that, and it appears to be material that is covered better in Did Jesus Live 100 B.C.? (regarding Jesus in the Talmud.)

Yeah, it does seem to be a serious work - but why the reference to David Icke as a "resource"?

This is quite disturbing really because this is one of the tenants to Christianity and they are actually telling us in writing that it didn�t really happen.

PL: It terms of the whole virgin birth story�. I picked up in the book that the mother of Jesus was in fact part of the nobility.

TB: That�s right. In the oldest Gospel, she is written down with the name as Mariamne. Now, Mariamne was the granddaughter of King Herod. In fact, she was his favourite granddaughter and she was of bloodline. It appears, from the scanty records available, that she was raped by a Roman archer and his nickname was �The Panther.� This man later became the Emperor of Rome in 14AD. He was Tiberius who was the adopted son of Emperor Augustus.

Mariamne bore the twins and they were hidden away for a while in the House of Augustus. They were both quite clearly of royal blood and we see in the Gospels itself where Jesus is called King over thirty times yet records of history never record Jesus as being King.

Real history is actually much more interesting that this.

A CATHOLIC Encyclopedia admitted the virgin birth narrative is later fiction?

Rubbish.

If one reads all the material in t the Catholic Encyclopedia 1907 they will find that there is information that says the virgin birth is not real. It really boils down to what you choose to believe and which author you choose to be the one that knows the truth.
