You see Satan really doesn't care what you believe as long as you deny God...and you guys do, Satan is very happy with you!

I also noticed that the only religion that seems to be bashed here is Christianity.

I don't "bash religions. I argue against the validity of ALL religions, that's all. Also, many of the founding father's were NOT christian and due to this fact, they deliberately made a secular Constitution. If you honestly knew anything about them you'd know Jefferson thought Christiainity was perverse and evil, and wrote "the Gospel" without any of the references to God. Washington was a deist, as was Franklin! The Constitution mentions a creator, but NEVER
"Yahweh" or "Christ" because they didn't want religion as a basis for the new republic. They deliberately created a form of government in which atheists, deists, Christians, etc could all be equal under the eyes of the law and created a SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. Christians aren't responsible for the US. A collective group of Christians, Deists, and others worked together despite different beliefs to bring us a SECULAR democracy. The only common factor among our founders was that they were in favor of rights in line with Liberal democracy.

We don't speak of "self". That's your particular interpretation of what atheists must think because we don't believe in God due to a lack of evidence. We don't make it up as we go. We have a set of beliefs based on the evidence we've seen. We alter these beliefs if shown to be wrong, which makes for a self correcting system. You can call us Luciferian, but since we don't believe in God or Satan, that's like calling us "unicornian!". It has no weight.

We do NOT believe in nothing. That'd be idiotic. I believe in the natural world and simply don't believe in anything supernatural, like fairies , Santa, or God. I and the other members of this forum WILL stand by our convictions. Our convictions are that the only things we should accept as real are things we can provide evidence for, and that anything with no support isn't believed in.


I honestly don't mind that you'd like to save us. I actually think it's very kind of you to do, based on your beliefs. however, we have no reason to believe in the Bible, or the God of your, or any other religion. You keep posting comments, but the fact that you still have yet to provide a single piece of evidence makes your argument seem silly. If I came to you and told you "Zeus commands you to make a sacrafice to him, or he will smite you!" You'd think I was stupid because you have no reason to believe in that god.

We're very sad because we believe you're locked in an illogical mindset, and believe in something that's untrue. The difference is we have scientific evidence, historical evidence, etc. to back up our claims. You continue to make claims without support, and thus no one considers them. If you can't support an argument with evidence, it's a bad argument. You make claims like "darwin recanted on his deathbed!" which show that you honestly are not educated about the topics you refer to. It happens, no biggy, but it's no convincing. If you really think you're right, try making an assertion like "Such and such proves that the earth is young!" and then provide evidence. Until you can provide evidence, your arguments are empty.

MY AIM is Fathermithras, and I'd be very happy to have a conversation with you about why Atheists can have a firm moral standing without a belief in God. It is a common misconception you cannot be moral as an athiest (I do not lie, cheat, steal, nor tolerate anyone who does, I don't get drunk, smoke, and have never done an illegal drug, I'm respectful toward others and give to charity, and many more very "moral" things) but that is a misconception. I've been told you can't "love" if you're an atheist. Well, my girlfriend of five years, who'm I love with every inch of me would say otherwise. As would my mother, father, two brothers, and other members of my family who have a very close bond together. You have misconceptions, and I'd be happy to talk with you about them.

You are being rude in many of your posts because you make claims that atheists are immoral evil, stupid people. Alot of us do the same to theists. I think our skin is thick enough. HOWEVER, your particular problem is your arguments are awful, and have no support outside of your faith, and thus are inneffective.

Upset? I think it's nice of you to hope that what you believe is the best thing to happen to someone happens to us! I don't agree with you, and alot of us get upset with you because you make HORRIBLY unconvincing arguments, spout falsified information, are unable to refute our counters, and attack us personally. BUT, saying "God bless you" doesn't upset us. It's the stuff above that does.

When I deconverted it was during a time with which I had an inner peace, believing in my religion (christianity). I read up on the topic of religion, and science and other disciplines. I tried to understand other viewpoints, and then asked myself if mine was valid, decided it wasn't, and changed it. I have no real guilt built up inside me, and really don't care if you want to be a Christian. I don't want fundamentalists lying to kids and saying evolution doesn't happen due to their own ignorance, but I don't care what you, or others believe. I simply hate dishonesty. I value truth above all things. So when people make false statements, I battle them with all of my being. So I doubt your claim is correct.

Well, I guess it’s not entirely a waste of time. I did learn that satan is happy with me, and god is mad. Does this mean that if I deal with the tooth fairy the easter bunny will be mad at me? I need to know this, because I am very interested in knowing what my standing with fictional creatures is. Since you seem to have an inside line on this matter, any clue weather the Loch Ness monster likes me or not?
