You're also slightly off in your dating of Revelation (albeit, not by much) and way off in your assertion that it was the last NT book written. Some of the pseudoepigraphical Epistles were written well into the 2nd century. Revelation is generally dated around 98 CE which means it most likely predates Luke, Acts and John and possibly even Mark and Matthew (according to theories which date those Gospels after the 2nd Jewish-Roman War rather than the first). The only NT books which are universally dated before 70 CE are the authentic Epistles of Paul and according to some theories, they might be the only NT books written in the 1st century. |
