levites wrote in the serpent???
I need some help... sorta...
I'm trying to remember if what I remember is what I read. Make sense? In a book titled When God was Woman (or via: amazon.co.uk), the author writes that she thinks the Levite priests wrote in the snake and garden of eden story in geneses. There were several different gods/goddesses back then, and they wanted to kick the competition in the nuts, so to speak, so they wrote the serpent, which was an accessory of the gods or goddesses, into geneses as a bad guy, the reason why we have it so bad. Am I remembering the book wrong? Been a while since I looked at it, and I don't own it anyways. Oh well, any help and comments would be nice... I'll elaborate on the situation later when I'm not dosing if you want. Bic |

Hi - I've added an Amazon link to the book. You can search the text on Amazon, and there is a section starting at page 219, A Levite Account of Creation. Or you can buy a cheap used copy.
