Default Hypocricy of God?

I am curious, as we know, in Leviticus and exodus and such, god made some nasty laws. I wont go into them as we know what they all are (execution for trivial matters)

Now the problem is, god doesnt REQUIRE that anymore. Now if got is eternal and infinite, than what is right and wrong should NEVER change. However, many people claim "it was the culture" and i wonder "since when does god change with man?"

Many people came that jesus "fullfilled" the law. Im wondering what effect can that have on having to execite someone? How can one thing be ok one day, and then suddenly change?

(ive actually begun a debate with a preacher about this matter....ugh.)

True, things dealing with basic human relationships should be right because God made them so, and should not change, otherwise a lot of people are getting saddled with injustice. Actually the thread I just started deals with some similar things. Maybe we can watch each others' answers ha.

Yes, i have no clue how if god is perfect, his idea of justice should EVER change? After all, isnt changing your stance almost an admission of error?

I should have said "...have been saddled with injustice."

Look, I think you're all missing the point. It's our fault, us skeptics. If we keep shrinking the gap into which Yahweh has to flee, then how can we expect consistency?

You can hardly label it hypocrisy if He could order slaying at the drop of a thunderbolt, and at the most explain failure to appear with “well the fucking things were made of Iron for Baals sake!” back in the day, and nowadays how is an omnimax God supposed to drag himself out of the undefined pre-big-bang-trans-dimensional-ether and pronounce death on some non-Israelite or other for eating pork. Or something.

So we can either just quit with all this “free will” and “Tyre Prophecy” and “3-million-wanderers-in-an area-the-size-of-Wales-with-not-a-turd-to-show-for-it” disproofs and get the big guy back, or just accept that He has only Mel Gibson and Jim Carey to explain His Judgments. Poor fucker.

Delightfully mad, indeed.
