Jesus is lord n savior-I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour
"Jesus is my lord and savior".
"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11)" Somene, please , explain this to me. |

I think he is asking how Jesus could be the savior when supposedly, only God is the saviour. Of course, this is traditionally explained by pointing that the New Testament claims Jesus was God, and therefore, as God, he is still savior.
I would also add that the term "savior" can be used in different contexts. Kevin |

How can sOme peolpe claim that "Jesus is my lord and saviour when the GOD,of The OLD TESTAMENT states, "...and beside me there is no saviour. "?

Which of course opens a whole can of theological worms . . . particular in Mk where:
Big Daddy talks to Junior. Junior is limited--sometimes he cannot perform miracles. For Mk, son of a god is good enough. --J.D. |
