We all are familiar with the pronouncements of the "well meaning". Much has been said, written/discussed, about the lunacy called animal sacrifice. I don't claim that my statements are challenging. I KNOW that many are familiar with the [Recipe for Animal Sacrifice] that is described by LEVITICUS 1,2, AND 3. Now, consider if you will, all the hypocritical talk about servitude to god, offerings to the lord; BURNT OFFERINGS(!!!?). Who, in their right mind, should be willing to accept that after all the turmoil, on behalf of the "rightful" desire to irradicate the Pagans, for their "bestial" [behaviour], we should be willing to contemplate/tolerate the premise of animal sacrifice; that CAN be found in the bible. Since when, an entity purported to be god, would accept the sacrifice of a lower life form, that in the final analysis, HAS ALWAYS been an unwilling VICTIM? Could such a sacrifice serve ANY purpose? Since when, did we elevate the process of appeasing Da' Lord (deliberate misspelling), by killing some hapless animal???? The only valid sacrifice,if our invisible pals in the sky were REAL; would be SELF-SACRIFICE. I doubt ANYONE, with two fingers width of forehead will be tolerant, accepting of the concept. IF everything else about the bible WAS true, this particular mess WILL make THE BIBLE/Christians the laughing stock of the WORLD !!!!! LEVITICUS 3:16 says it ALL !!!!!!

Is there anything better than (free) lamb chops? Perhaps, the Jews then had a secret recipe, comparable to the Masai, which included the consumption of blood; along with the free lamb chops? The "Christian" apologists, with their strained "harmonizations", would have us believe that they have the ultimate epistemological access to the past. The redactors involved in the transmission of "the word", could care less about a tinker's cuss, after having compromised/falsified historical truth, or accuracy, for the sake of the "lessons" they wanted to impart on their readership. Thanks RED DAVE, I DIDN'T know that. In your opinion, when do you think the ignorant redactor(s) that incorporated animal sacrifice, chose to commit to the concept, without ever having paused to think about the development of dialectics; Hegelian or otherwise? My take, is that in the throws of their arrogance, they expected to keep humanity illiterate FOREVER.

It's interesting how if one takes a ritual like animal sacrifice and presents it in an extra-Biblical context without the term "Hebrews" involved, most people will go straight to the conclusion that it's a ritual to benefit the priests.
